Become a Volunteer - Basic Info
Becoming a service provider (Volunteer) is an opportunity for you to enable your neighbors to safely and securely “Age at Home” for a longer period of time. It is our hopes that you also will find this experience personally rewarding. It is an opportunity to offer your time, skills, talents, resources, listening ears, and companionship in a mutually beneficial way. There will be opportunities for all who would like to serve, no special talents or skills are needed. We are very grateful for your willingness and your interest in Davidson Village Network.
Being a service volunteer also has inherent expectations and responsibilities both to the organization and to the members with whom you interact. These are outlined in the Volunteer Hand book and will be covered in the Volunteer Training. For the safety of the members and Davidson Village Network, we want to make sure that the volunteers that represent us in the most personal ways are credible . We will be conducting a background check on all volunteers and performing some additional drivers license background checks on all the volunteers that will be providing transportation. This is done through an external third party agency, used by many non-profit villages and other organizations.
Please complete the form at the link attached and send it to the volunteer director at Volunteer@davidsonvillagenetwork.org , who will contact you for more details about how you would like to serve and to ensure your approval before initiating the Background check process.
